{"id":763,"date":"2022-11-08T23:08:30","date_gmt":"2022-11-08T23:08:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/internationalproblems.rs\/plagiarism\/"},"modified":"2026-04-13T16:08:49","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T16:08:49","slug":"plagiarism","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/internationalproblems.rs\/en\/plagiarism\/","title":{"rendered":"Plagiarism"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plagiarism<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"im_para has-medium-font-size\">Plagiarism \u2013 that is, when someone assumes another\u2019s ideas, words, or other creative expressions as one\u2019s own without referring to the original author and source \u2013 is a clear case of scientific misconduct and a breach of publishing ethics. Plagiarism may also involve a violation of copyright law, punishable by legal action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"im_para has-medium-font-size\"><strong>All manuscripts submitted to \u201cMedjunarodni problemi\u201d (International Problems) are subject to independent anti-plagiarism screening using specialized detection software: <u>iThenticate 2.0.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"im_para has-medium-font-size\">Should the \u0415ditorial \u0422eam determine that a submitted manuscript contains plagiarized material, the manuscript will be rejected and appropriate sanctions will be imposed. In such cases, the authors will be prohibited from submitting or publishing manuscripts in the Journal for at least two consecutive volumes. This policy applies to all forms of plagiarism, including, but not limited to, direct copying without proper attribution, paraphrasing without appropriate citation, self-plagiarism, as well as the fabrication or falsification of data. Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"im_para has-medium-font-size\">\u2022 Word-for-word, or almost word-for-word copying, or purposely paraphrasing portions of another author\u2019s work without clearly indicating the source or marking the copied fragment (for example, using quotation marks).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"im_para has-medium-font-size\">\u2022 Assuming other people\u2019s ideas without stating the authorship and the sources in which those ideas are originally presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"im_para has-medium-font-size\">\u2022 Copying figures or tables from someone else\u2019s paper without properly citing the source and\/or without permission from the original author or the copyright holder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"im_para has-medium-font-size\">\u2022 Self-plagiarism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"im_para has-medium-font-size\">\u2022 Fabrication or falsification of data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"im_para has-medium-font-size\">The procedure in cases where there are clear indications that a submitted manuscript or published article fall under the definition of plagiarism is described in the sections <a href=\"https:\/\/internationalproblems.rs\/en\/unethical-behaviour\/\"><em>Dealing with unethical behaviour<\/em><\/a><em> <\/em>and <a href=\"https:\/\/internationalproblems.rs\/en\/retraction-policy\/\"><em>Retraction policy<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"im_para has-medium-font-size\"><strong>By submitting a manuscript to \u201cMedjunarodni problemi\/International Problems\u201d, authors acknowledge and agree that their submission may be software-screened, while appropriate measures may be taken in cases where plagiarism is detected.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"im_para has-medium-font-size\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Plagiarism Plagiarism \u2013 that is, when someone assumes another\u2019s ideas, words, or other creative expressions as one\u2019s own without referring to the original author and source \u2013 is a clear case of scientific misconduct and a breach of publishing ethics.
